Client: Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS)
2018 , Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS) came to us with a challenge: they needed help raising awareness of their Rainforest Home Appeal, a plan to buy back an 890 acre plot of land and restore it from a lifeless palm oil plantation into a diverse and vibrant rainforest. With a tangible end goal of £870,000, they needed a powerful campaign which raised awareness of the devastating impacts of deforestation, and prompted people to donate.
So we used well-loved and iconic jungle characters to tell our story for us, showing King Louie, Baloo and other Jungle Book favourites as homeless in the world’s biggest cities. before telling the viewer that its not too late to change how this story ends.
Money raised: £870,000 The full amount needed to buy back the plantation, with donations from 42 countries.
